The Voice Behind the Blog

“Do whatever brings you to life…create whatever causes a revolution in your heart.” -Elizabeth Gilbert

I am a writer, observer and explorer at heart.

I have a deep, deep love for doing good and philanthropy. I believe we can all do our part to make this world a better place in both small and large ways, and I am also always looking for opportunities to bring people closer to their own personal missions.

My own personal mission is this: to be a strong, successful woman working to make the world a more sustainable, humane, compassionate and happy place, knowing that every little bit helps.

And then I have some other obsessions — greeting cards, mac ‘n cheese, magazines, books, socks, The Rock, Anthony Doerr’s writing, Elizabeth Gilbert’s writing, Angela Flournoy’s writing, Ted Kooser’s poetry, Katrina Vandenberg’s poetry, Langston Hughes’s poetry…and so, so much more. Take me or leave me, but I will never give these beautiful things up.

I am a former fundraising professional for an environmental organization and am now pursuing graduate education. I also wear many other hats at various times throughout my day — planner, advisor, navigator, listener, texter, Instragramer, friend, partner, daughter, sister, cousin, aunt…and I enjoy kicking some butt at the gym — hiyah! #fightlikeagirl #fightlikeafighter #fightwithheart #fighton

I look forward to meeting you on this blog journey, and hearing about your own journey, whatever it may be! Thanks so much for visiting this site! (Insert ten million exclamation points…my favorite punctuation!)
